Snickerdoodle

This is such an amazing fall treat, even though it technically isn’t fall yet! It is so delicious with the cinnamon sugar topping and soft and chewy texture! I can easily eat the whole batch, which yields about 3-4 dozen. The cream of tartar is necessary for this, because it helps it rise. You can’t really substitute anything in snickerdoodles , but the result is fabulous! Enjoy! Happy baking!

1 cup butter softened

1/2 cups Sugar

2 Large eggs

2 tsp vainilla

2 3/4 cups flour

tsp cream of tarter

tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 tbsp sugar

1/2 tbsp cinnamon

In a small bowl, combine the 2 tablespoons sugar, and cinnamon, mix well and set aside. Mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt together. Set aside. Beat together the sugar and butter with a electric mixer.Add eggs and vanilla and cream well. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and beat with the electric mixer for about 30 seconds until combined and a little sticky. Shape dough into even balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on  2 ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 10-15 minutes unit golden brown and the middle of the cookie is set. These will expand a lot during baking process. Enjoy!
