Oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookies

The delicious soft, chewy cookies are so amazing, and are really great with tea, or coffee. I added chocolate chips to half the batter, but you can add it to the whole thing or not at all, whatever you choose. Enjoy this amazing easy treat. Makes about 2 dozen.

2 cups oats

1 1/2- 2 cups flour

2 sticks butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

3 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup raisins

Chocolate chips optional

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

Beat together the butter and sugars. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat together until combined. Add the dry ingredients and beat until just combined, the consistency should be sticky, but not too sticky. Add the raisins and chocolate chips if using.

Pre heat the oven to 350. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper. Roll the batter into about 24 equal balls, space them about one inch apart from each other because these will expand. Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Enjoy!
