Scones

These delicious soft buttery scones are a perfect breakfast treat! With some nice jam on top makes it even more flavorful! I especially love scones right out of the oven with a cup of tea! Scones don’t last more than a few days but after the first day it gets really dry, so eat it sooner to later! Sadly, you cannot de crease the butter, it is a lot but it is totally worth it. And this is a good thing to make once in a while because it is not really healthy! I hope you enjoy this treat! Happy cooking!

  •

       1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a large bowl. Add the butter cut into cubes and use your fingers to rub it in until it looks like sand. Add the Egg, milk, and vanilla to a small bowl and beat together. Add to the dry mixture.

Use a rolling pin and place the dough mound on a floured surface, use the slightly floured rolling pin to roll the dough out until it is 1/2 an inch thick. Use a circle cooking cutter or the rim of a water glass like I did and cut out circles. This should make about 8-10 depending how big you want them. Place them onto a greased cookie sheet and if they all don’t fit on one, add some to a second cookie sheet. Place in the Oven at 400 degrees for 14-15 minutes until golden brown. Best eaten immediately!
