This wonderful side dish is great to go with basically any Asian dish, I ate it with lentils and rice, but it is also good with fish, or a nice healthy snack just by its self! You can easily double this, and if you have green beans, the rest of the ingredients can easily be found in a pantry and you don’t have to buy anything special for this. For crunchier green beans, cook for less time, and for softer green beans, add a bunch of tablespoons of water and let it soak in that with the lid covered. Enjoy! Happy cooking!
1 pound green beans, preferably fresh
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons turmeric
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
In a cast iron skillet, warm the olive oil. Add the green beans and spices. For crunchy green beans, cook for less time, softer green beans, add water as above and cover until to your liking. Enjoy!
