Biscuit crackers

These are a great snack for anytime! They might not be very healthy but they are a delicious treat! I call them biscuit crackers because of how they are light and fluffy in the middle, and usually crackers are hard and crunchy. These are basically what they are called! I fit them all on one baking tray but it was very complicated so I would recommend using 2. These call for little ingredients and a great snack to Eat with cheese, jam, or by themselves. Hope you like it! Happy cooking!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt divided
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted

  • Add the flour, baking powder, sugar, 6 tablespoons butter cut into cubes, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Pulse in a food processor JUST until combined.Add vegetable oil. Pulse to combined, at this stage the dough should look like bread crumbs.
  • Add water and milk. Pulse until starting to form a ball, about 30 seconds.Roll dough out as thin as you can and use cookie cutters to cut the dough out. Or the rim of a water glass which is what I did. Poke holes in the dough To help Make them cook more evenly.

  • Bake the crackers on a parchment lined baking sheet at 400 degrees F. For about 10-15 minutes.
  • While the crackers are baking, melt the remaining butter and mix in the remaining salt.
  • As soon as you remove the crackers from the oven, brush them with the salty butter. Enjoy!
